IT Manager

This role of IT Manager – with ideally significant Epicor experience is required by an electronics business, based in Worcestershire. Arrowvale Electronics is a well–established privately–owned expert in the design and manufacture of monitoring and recording equipment for the rail industry. The Company is going through significant change and period of growth, and as such, the IT Manager's role is critical for future success of the business.

Overall role

As the IT Manager you will manage and advise on all IT solutions that will best help them grow and perform more efficiently. The IT Manager will be outlining the most effective resources and oversee projects through design, development to completion and ensure that all Company computer hardware and software are running efficiently to ensure users are able to perform their daily tasks. Applicants must have a good overall IT systems administration background, with knowledge of all the Microsoft packages and Epicor or similar ERP system.

Main duties:

  • Manage the Company IT services and achieve Company IT objectives.
  • To make recommendations for improvement of the IT provision for the Company, and deliver them through structured planning
  • Provide support on Epicor including projects i.e. implementing new/enhanced modules.
  • Ensure the network is up and running efficiently internally and externally.
  • Ensure all servers are operational i.e. Windows, Epicor and email.
  • Progress any reported faults/issues.
  • Ensure the organisation has robust data security & protection systems.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and to budget.
  • Deliver and oversee reporting and analysis.
  • Manage external contracts.

Skills and Experience

  • Microsoft products including Epicor, Windows server, Exchange and Microsoft Office.
  • ERP system configuration and support knowledge , preferably Epicor
  • Managing and maintaining IT network infrastructure and security within a multi–site environment.
  • Experience of managing 3rd party vendors and service levels.
  • Experience of driving change in a busy environment whilst maintaining business continuity.
  • Experience of virtualised environments.
  • Experience of Firewall configuration plus Antivirus installation, configuration and monitoring.

Desirable

  • Computing/ IT degree/ HND/HNC
